Door Dimensions
NXGN hoarding doorways use standard internal door sizes. The maximum door opening width (DOW) is 1850mm. Common configurations use a combination of D1 and D2 doors for wider openings.
| Door Type | Width (mm) | Height (mm) |
|---|---|---|
| D1 (Standard) | 820 | 2040 |
| D2 (Wide) | 870 | 2040 |
| D1 + D2 Combination | 1700 (DOW) | 2040 |
Door Construction — Flush Finish
To achieve a flush finish between the door face and the hoarding face, 70×45mm timber packers are fixed to the back of the door. These packers bring the door face forward to sit flush with the 9mm skin on the hoarding panels. The door hinges are mounted on these packers.
- Packer Size: 70×45mm Timber
- Fixed to the back of the door at hinge positions
- Hinges mount directly to the timber packers
- Creates a flush, professional finish on the face of the hoarding
Offset Upright Requirement
Doors in NXGN hoardings are inward-hinged (they open into the works area, not into the public space). This means the weight blocks would obstruct the door swing if a standard upright were placed at the door frame.
To solve this, an Offset Upright is installed at each doorway. The offset upright positions the weight blocks behind the hoarding run, clear of the door swing arc.
