Construction Sequence
- Cut the Door Head Top Plate (DHTP) and Bottom Plate (DHBP) to the door opening width
- Cut the Head Studs (DHST) to the door head height (DHH)
- Assemble the frame — fix studs to plates using 2× 65mm screws per joint
- Position the assembled frame above the door opening, resting on the Opening Studs (DOST)
- Fix the frame to the opening studs
- Apply 9mm MDF/Plywood skin using 35mm 10G screws at 300mm centres
Note: The skin fixings at the doorway frame use 300mm centres — tighter than the standard 350mm spacing used on flat runs — to ensure additional rigidity around the door opening.
